Today was our first day of (home) school/camp. I also had to work so, against my better judgment, I had a babysitter until 3pm, when I got home. I organized a whole schedule for the sitter and kids (see previous post) so things went pretty smoothly B"H. Half way through the day, my boss decided that we would be closing our program until further notice (I was shocked that we hadn't closed earlier since our population - seniors - are at higher risk.) so I am now officially social distancing with my children. Of course, it is frustrating because I won't be getting paid (other than a few days of accrued sick and safe leave). But I know a lot of other people are in the same boat...
Best part: After I got home, we finished up the children's schedule and then had "prize time". I specifically chose prizes such as activity books and art kits to keep that would keep them busy. They each picked a 3D Melissa and Doug Puzzle which was PERFECT since they worked on building them for over an hour and then finished them up the next morning. Once the "puzzles" are done, they are like playsets that you can play with so all in all it is a really good buy!
Hardest part: My 2-year old is really challenging and needs a lot of attention which makes it a lot harder for me to do things with the older kids (and not lose it when he screams and tantrums!)
